Clinical Social Worker
Prior to Cornell Health, Jamie previously served Cornell University as the Assistant Dean of Students in the Office of Student Supports, having provided crisis, prevention and community support for students in distress, as well as short-term counseling and advocacy work. In this capacity, he also coordinated LGBT support and outreach while simultaneously developing and supervising online support services for difficult-to-reach populations. He also has several years of clinical experience in community-based mental health clinics, having served an economically-challenged and often underserved population.
He earned a master's of social work from City University of New York at Hunter College, NY,NY, and a bachelor's of science in biology from Cornell. Related academic accomplishments include the Jacob Goldfein Award recipient for scholarly work and the UNSW full-tuition scholarship for the Cornell Study Abroad Program, Sydney, Australia.
