Professional interests:
Student health is particularly interesting to Courtney because the structure of higher education institutions generally allows for a more holistic vantage point from which she can understand a client and their needs. Courtney especially appreciates the open-mindedness that students often bring to therapy and their malleability in relationship to change.
Clinically, Courtney enjoys working from a Narrative theoretical framework that allows her to walk alongside clients as they uncover the stories that have influenced their understanding of themselves while incorporating elements of other Postmodern theories including Family-Systems, Critical Psychology & Queer Theory, amongst others.
Personal interests:
Courtney enjoys listening to music louder than anyone should, dancing, watching YouTube videos about any and every subject, swimming in the Atlantic Ocean (her favorite ocean, besides Frank), and living life with her orange tabby!
