Professional interests:
One of the things Güney enjoys most about student health is the opportunity to work with a young adult
population during such a formative and transitional period in their lives. College years often bring
unique mental health challenges—identity development, academic stress, relationship dynamics, and
sometimes the first emergence of more serious psychiatric conditions. Güney finds it incredibly rewarding to
help students navigate these issues and build coping skills that can support them long beyond
graduation. She feels there's also something energizing about being part of an academic environment—it
fosters continuous learning and collaboration.
Personal interests:
When Güney is not working, you can usually find her hiking, cooking, or curled up with a good book, often with her goofy German Short-haired Pointer by her side.
