If you need guidance or advice about a physical or mental health concern, you can call us 24/7 to speak with a health care provider. We supplement the support offered by our Cornell Health providers by contracting with two on-call services (see details below).

Consult with a medical provider
During business hours, your call will be answered by our front-desk staff who can connect you with one of our nurses.
When we’re closed, you will be connected with a medical provider from our on-call service, AccessNurse, who can provide consultation, and refer you to community providers, when appropriate. (Interpretation services are available for those who wish to use their native language.)
Consult with a mental health provider
You can speak with a licensed therapist from ProtoCall, our 24/7 support team of mental health professionals, any time, day or night. ProtoCall therapists are experienced in providing support for common concerns experienced by college students, and can also refer you to Cornell or community resources, when appropriate. (Consultation in different languages available.)
If you have an urgent concern and you would prefer to speak directly with someone from CAPS, please call us during business hours and follow the message prompts.
If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency – for yourself, or someone else – please call 911. Visit our Emergencies & After-Hours Care page for more information.
