Initiatives

In addition to the direct-care services we provide for our patients and clients, Cornell Health staff members help lead campus-wide initiatives to improve health and protect against potential harms in our community.

Using population-based strategies, our public health specialists, health educators, and communications professionals work to advance culture change and promote healthy behaviors in the areas of mental health, alcohol and other drugs, sexual violence, hazing, and communicable illness management.

Staff members from our Skorton Center for Health Initiatives lead many of these efforts through collaboration with campus colleagues, leadership on university councils and committees, and educational programming and campaigns.
