Joan Doris
Associate Director, Counseling & Psychological Services
Dr. Doris brings extensive experience in behavioral health across diverse settings, including academia, the Veterans Administration, and community health/mental health. Her background encompasses program development, clinical supervision, and cross-functional collaboration, along with a strong track record in grant writing and consulting.
Dr. Doris is dedicated to advancing behavioral health services through innovative program development, education and training, clinical excellence, and community-focused initiatives.
Before joining Cornell, Dr. Doris was based in Williamson, West Virginia, where she held a consultant role within the Opioid Response Network at the American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry. She also worked as a mental health therapist, providing individual, couples, and family therapy. Joan also served as the Director of Family Therapy and Wellness from 2020-2023.
