Professional interests:
Sophia's therapeutic approach weaves together feminist theory and psychodynamic insight within a trauma-informed, client-centered framework. They collaborate with clients to explore the deeper layers of emotional experience, relational patterns, and internal conflicts that shape one’s sense of self. Through compassion, and reflection, Sophia supports clients in cultivating greater self-awareness and taking meaningful action toward growth and healing. Curiosity and skepticism welcome!
As a member of the Latine and LGBTQ+ communities, Sophia is deeply committed to supporting these communities through a culturally responsive and inclusive lens that honors the complexity of identity, belonging, and lived experience.
Their clinical interests include intersectional identity and self-development, traumatic experiences, dissociative identity disorder and the spectrum of dissociative experiences, interpersonal relationships, stress management, anxiety, depression, social isolation, and grief.
Personal interests:
When not in session, Sophia can be found playing with their kids, writing or blogging about whatever sparks their curiosity, diving into a D&D campaign, or baking without a recipe and hoping for the best. They also take pride in the art of being lazy, a talent they’re constantly refining.
