Professional interests:
Em is a proud ADHDer who specializes in Neurodivergent care and ADHD management. They also help run the ADHD Evaluation program at CAPS.
Em mixes different therapeutic modalities based on what works best for their students. They predominantly focus in Person Centered therapy, REBT, and feminist therapies. They believe that healing begins when people are able to connect with others and share experiences.
In addition to Neurodivergent care, Em also has experience working with profound and longstanding depression, as well as the intersection of relationships and sexuality in counseling. In particular, Em works as a Kink aware and knowledgeable clinician.
Personal interests:
Em is an avid reader with the goal of reading one more book than the year before. In particular, they enjoy YA, Chick-lit, science fiction, and anything with time travel. They can often be found crocheting or knitting, or contemplating the next hobby they hope to acquire, maybe book binding? Em also has a huge love of travel, and doesn’t feel any trip is complete without a trip to the local history museum.
