Cornell Health provides services for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students studying on Cornell’s Ithaca campus, or on the nearby Geneva campus.
Select services are also available to other Cornell community members, including visiting students, and partners and spouses of students. Please see eligibility details below.

Academic-year students in Ithaca
Eligible students include:
- Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students enrolled during the academic year
- Continuing Education students taking 12+ credits during the academic year
Restrictions:
- Students receiving telehealth services must be physically located on (or near) campus at the time of their appointment
- New students who arrive prior to July 1 who are not enrolled in an early-start program are eligible for episodic care only; their cost for care would depend on their insurance
Cost for care:
- Students in Ithaca during the academic year pay the university’s Student Health Fee, and have a $10 charge for most Cornell Health services (learn more about cost for care)

Summer students studying in Ithaca
Eligible students include:
- Ithaca-campus undergraduate, graduate, and professional students remaining in Ithaca during the summer (whether or not you are enrolled in Summer Session) are eligible for Cornell Health's full scope of services.
- New students enrolled in an early-start program in Ithaca are eligible for Cornell Health's full scope of services.
- College students who are only enrolled for the Summer Session are eligible for episodic care.

Ithaca students who are away from campus
Students enrolled in Ithaca who are away from campus – on a university break, for study abroad, etc. – are not eligible for Cornell Health's telehealth services. Students receiving telehealth services must be physically located on (or near) campus at the time of their appointment.
Students away from campus may call us 24/7 for consultation about medical or mental health concerns (607-255-5155) and may contact our pharmacy for prescription transfers.
Geneva students
Cornell AgriTech students in Geneva, NY are considered "Ithaca students" for the purposes of eligibility for services at Cornell Health, and may access our full range of services.

Students enrolled on the Geneva campus pay Cornell's Student Health Fee, and have a $10 visit charge for nearly all services at Cornell Health.
Cornell Tech students
Cornell Tech students – as well as students studying in some other New York City-based programs – have access to mental health services through our CAPS embedded therapist at Cornell Tech. Students can also access some other mental health services (by Zoom) and support through Student Disability Services.

Visiting Cornell students
Cornell students who are studying outside the Ithaca / Geneva campuses – including Cornell Tech students, Cornell in Washington students, in absentia students, executive program participants, etc. – are eligible for episodic medical care when Ithaca. Anyone is welcome to use our pharmacy.

Students on leave / withdrawn from the university
Students who are on leave or withdrawn from the university are not eligible to use Cornell Health's services, except for the pharmacy. We can assist students who need help transferring care from Cornell Health to other providers.
Recent graduates
- May graduates may use our services through June 30
- December graduates may use our services through January 31
Students staying in the Ithaca area after those dates may receive referrals from Cornell Health to transition care to a provider in the community.
Anyone is welcome to use our pharmacy. Additionally, if you incur an injury or illness on campus, we can provide first aid/stabilizing care, consultation, and referrals to local urgent care providers.
Student spouses / partners
Most Cornell Health services are available to student spouses and domestic partners, with the exception of counseling and psychiatry services. Your cost for care will depend on your insurance.

Staff, faculty, & post-docs
Cornell employees and post-docs may use our pharmacy, can access lab testing through LabCorp at Cornell Health, and are invited to attend free annual flu vaccination clinics on campus. Select employees are eligible for Occupational Medicine services.
Free counseling and support services are offered through Cornell's Faculty & Staff Assistance Program (FSAP).

Retirees
Cornell retirees may use our pharmacy and are invited to attend free flu vaccination clinics on campus. Counseling and support are available through the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.
Visitors to campus
Other visitors to Cornell’s Ithaca campus are welcome to use our pharmacy. If you incur an injury or illness on campus, we can provide you with consultation and referrals to local urgent care providers (refer to the "urgent care" options listed on our Emergencies & After-Hours Care page).
