Let’s Meditate is a free, guided, mindfulness meditation series sponsored by Cornell Health, in collaboration with numerous campus partners.

  • Everyone is welcome! Let’s Meditate is open to all members of the Cornell community, including students, faculty, and staff of all ages, genders, sizes, shapes, and abilities.
  • Participation is FREE. You are welcome to come to as many sessions as you wish.

What to expect

During each half-hour Let’s Meditate session, a trained facilitator will lead participants through meditation exercises designed to focus on the breath and quiet the mind. Participants typically sit quietly with their eyes closed throughout the session.

Mondays

  • 9:00 – 9:30 am
    Led by Simone Christian, MA from Environment, Health and Safety
    East Hill Office Building, 2nd floor, HR Suite*, Room 230
    Occurring monthly: 9/15, 10/6, 11/3 and 12/1
    *Sessions are an immersive sound bath. Simone will begin with guided intentional breathing, then proceed with sound healing using singing bowls, chimes and percussion. Blankets provided.
     
  • 4:00 – 4:30 pm
    Led by Cory Myler, PhD from Cornell Health
    Big Red Barn (you may join in-person or attend this meditation virtually)
    Occurring weekly, August 25 through December 8*
    *No meditation during Fall Break (10/13)

  • 12:15 – 12:45 pm
    Led by Dr. Rajesh Bhaskaran from the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering
    Upson Hall, Room 106 ( in-person meditation)
     Occurring weekly through December 3
     
  • 12:30 – 1:00 pm
    Led by Jackie Mouillesseaux
    East Hill Office Building, 2nd floor, HR Suite*
    Occurring biweekly: 8/27, 9/10, 9/24, 10/22, 11/19, 12/3
    *This in-person meditation will include sound healing meditation.
     
  • 5:00 – 6:30 pm
    Led by Taylor Bouraad, MPH from Cornell Health
    Mindful Coloring & Snacks at the Big Red Barn*
    Occurring biweekly: 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, 12/3
    *This mindful coloring session does not include a traditional guided meditation. It is a mindful activity, designed to encourage calm, focused attention. Drop-in any time during the 90 minutes.

Let's Meditate PLUS programs

One-time meditation programs for student & staff groups 

Are you a department, club, or program interested in partnering with Let’s Meditate? We can provide:

  • A one-hour "Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation" program with didactic and experiential components
  • A 30-minute guided mindfulness meditation practice specifically for your group
  • A 30- to 60-minute meditative activity that engages the senses and invites present moment awareness through coloring, nature, music, or somatic techniques
