Sophia's therapeutic approach incorporates feminist theory within a trauma-informed and client-centered framework. She treats every client as a unique individual within a specific cultural context, helping them develop awareness so the client can take more effective action in caring for themselves and navigating obstacles. Curiosity and skepticism welcome! Collaboratively, Sophia and the client will create a treatment plan that best suits the client's needs.
Sophia's clinical interests include working with the LGBTQ+ community, intersectional identity and self-development, traumatic experiences, interpersonal relationships, couples, stress management, anxiety, depression, social isolation, grief, and dissociative experiences.
Personal interests:
While away from work, Sophia enjoys short hikes with her partner led by their two cats, hair dye, philosophy, D&D and gaming, baking without a recipe while hoping for the best, and gentle movement and stretching with her morning coffee.
