Refresh: Cornell’s Sleep Program aims to provide students with the skills and strategies to reimagine rest and improve sleep. Research shows that getting good sleep is vital to our health and well-being, and helps improve students' academic performance and mental health. About the Refresh program

Refresh is an eight-week, evidence-based self-help program that delivers important information and outlines strategies that have been proven to help improve college students’ sleep. The program is open to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.

When you join the Refresh program, you will receive a weekly message for eight weeks containing information and materials on the following topics:

  • The physiology of sleep
  • Good "sleep hygiene" 
  • A conducive sleep environment
  • Relaxation strategies
  • Mindfulness strategies
  • Cognitive strategies
  • Keeping track of your sleep to improve your sleep

You will be asked to spend approximately 10-20 minutes each week reviewing the information and practice tips you receive, which you are encouraged to put into practice to improve your sleep.

Fall 2024 Refresh program
