Our sports medicine team at Cornell Health specializes in sports clearance, sports injuries, and other injuries and illnesses that affect Cornell’s intercollegiate athletes. 

We work closely with Cornell University Athletics’ coaches, athletic trainers, nutritionists, and team orthopedists to help keep our student athletes healthy and performing at their peak.

Appointments

Sports medicine appointments (NCAA athletes only): If you are sick or injured, please contact the athletic training staff and/or the Sports Medicine Clinic in Schoellkopf Hall to schedule an appointment: 607-255-3892 or 607-255-5156

NOTE: In-season athletes receive the highest priority. If you have an urgent health concern (like an acute injury or infection) that cannot wait for a regularly scheduled appointment, please request a same-day appointment. You may also call Cornell Health 24/7 (607-255-5155) for consultation.

Other Cornell Health services: Appointments for other services – including nutrition, allergy, sexual health, mental health, and physical therapy – should be made by calling Cornell Health or logging in to myCornellHealth. Remember, all services at Cornell Health are completely confidential

Wednesday evening Sports Medicine Clinic

Walk-in hours at Schoellkopf’s Sports Medicine Clinic are available to NCAA athletes every semester. Check in between 6:00–7:30 pm for evaluation and support related to illness, injury, or other health concerns. You can sign in at the Physician's Office, located across from the Training Room. Fees  

If your injury is incurred as a direct result of participation in intercollegiate sports at Cornell, any costs for care that are not covered by your health insurance or health fee will be covered by Cornell University Intercollegiate Athletic Injury Insurance.

Please speak with Charlene Haskell, the Athletic Insurance Coordinator, to make sure you understand how this works and to maximize your coverage.
